Looking for a used car, truck or SUV near Waterford? Newcombs Auto Sales in Auburn Hills offers a changing selection of pre-owned vehicles at 3123 Lapeer Rd. Browse online first, then call (248) 373-1422 to confirm the listings you want to inspect.
If your next vehicle must handle tools, bulky cargo or weekend equipment as well as daily driving, start with those requirements. A truck and an SUV can solve very different problems, even when their prices look similar.
A used truck may be useful for an open cargo area, while a used SUV keeps luggage and equipment inside the cabin. Compare bed or cargo dimensions, rear-seat room and access. Check the space with the seats in the position you will actually use.
Think about where the vehicle will be parked and whether its height and length work for your garage or usual parking space. A sedan may still meet your needs if most trips involve passengers and light luggage. Use your real routine to choose a body style instead of relying on appearance alone.
If you plan to tow, do not infer a rating from the model name or the presence of a hitch. Ask to review the owner’s manual, vehicle labels and equipment for that exact configuration. Passengers, cargo and accessories affect the load a vehicle carries.
Inspect the bed, cargo area, tires and underbody condition. Ask about available service records and the vehicle history report. A report and a dealership inspection serve different purposes; neither removes the need to understand the vehicle’s current condition.
Newcombs describes a 125-point inspection process. Ask what was checked on the vehicle you select, and review any applicable warranty terms. Arrange a test drive to assess visibility, comfort and controls.
Review the vehicle’s full cash price, applicable tax, title and license charges, and any optional products separately. The posted financing balance is not the full purchase price. Request a written breakdown before comparing offers.
Explore estimates with the payment calculator and use the financing guides to prepare questions. Financing is subject to lender requirements and individual circumstances. If your income comes from contract work, our self-employed financing resource explains documentation questions to discuss with the team.
A trade-in evaluation can help you plan your next step. If you still owe money, compare the payoff with the trade value before assuming the trade will cover a down payment.
Newcombs serves Waterford shoppers from its Auburn Hills location at 3123 Lapeer Rd, MI 48326. There is no separate Waterford location represented by this page. Check the contact page and map for directions from your address.
Posted hours are Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.; Sunday is closed. Call ahead for holiday hours and vehicle availability. If the right configuration is not listed, submit your requirements through the vehicle finder, including the equipment you need rather than only a make and model.
Can I shop trucks and SUVs online?
Yes. Use the truck and SUV category pages, then open individual listings for vehicle specifications and available history reports.
Is a tow hitch proof of towing capacity?
No. Verify the exact vehicle's rating and equipment using its manual, labels and appropriate documentation before towing.
Can I trade a vehicle with a remaining loan?
Request a trade evaluation and a current lender payoff. If the payoff exceeds the trade value, ask how that difference would be handled before committing.
